Installation stuck at 82.4% ...help

Turn off your antivirus while installing the game.

make sure there's enough space ( INCLUDING THOSE EXTRA GIGS, sometimes much temporary space is taken for the proper extraction to take place)

stop all background processes and sit there and watch the bar to flow down( EVEN THOSE NUMBERS TICKING).

and the most important thing, be patient

Okay, how do you actually run the game? I clicked the InstallApp and then cmd pop out says couldn't find something it was briefly, just couldn't read the rest. And that's it nothing happens after that. Tried to copy .dll to the UWP64 folder vice versa still nothing happen.

LOL, you should have been aware of its Windows 10 exclusive>.

do make sure you install the version which is above 1703 or even 1703.

Has anyone gotten it to run? The exe is put in to an empty folder that requires the dlls from a previous folder. For the try, I put the game exe in that folder and it didn't go. Same goes with putting the dlls in the uwp64 folder. The install app shortcut also just makes a window for a half second and then nothing. Edit: Following the nfo from the codex release, I tried on both my drives and neither works. So I dunno.

Game won't start

1. Enable Developer Mode.

(Win Key + i > Update & Security > For Developers > Developer Mode).

2. Install the game . Ignore the blank desktop icon

3. Create a folder for save game data in 'Documents' folder, name it something relative like 'State of Decay 2'.

4. Block the game from accessing the internet.

( Control Panel Home > Windows Defender Firewall > Advanced Settings > Inbound rules > New Rule > Select Stateofdecay.exe from a folder further to binaries > Block Connection > Now repeat same for Outbound Rules > [Find State of Decay on the list] > Properties > Block the connection).

NOTE: Try to Switch off Antivirus or any firewall during gameplay.

5. Run InstallApp.exe from /AppFiles folder.

6. Launch the game from the start menu

7. After the "Press Enter" screen in the menu you will be prompted to select a folder for saving game data (save game folder), select the folder you created in step 3.

9. It takes quite sometime to load. So be patient and wait for it.

9. Enjoy the game once it starts. Simply amazing.
